Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented WordPress Web Developer to create, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites for our clients. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new features, customizing themes, managing plugins, and ensuring the overall functionality and performance of the websites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website Development: Build responsive and high-performance websites using WordPress, adhering to best practices for security, scalability, and usability.
• Theme and Plugin Customization: Customize and modify WordPress themes and plugins based on client requirements.
• Website Maintenance: Regularly update websites, ensuring that WordPress, themes, and plugins are up-to-date and security patches are applied.
• Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and team members to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including performance, security, and compatibility problems.
• Content Management: Integrate content, images, and other elements into WordPress sites as needed.
• SEO and Performance Optimization: Implement on-page SEO best practices and optimize websites for speed and performance.
• Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure websites are compatible with different browsers and devices.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct tests to ensure website functionality and responsiveness meet company standards.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in WordPress, including theme and plugin development, customization, and implementation.
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with website optimization techniques (speed, SEO, etc.).
• Experience with WordPress page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
• Familiarity with website security best practices.
• Experience with website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Knowledge of web hosting platforms and domain management.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
• Experience with responsive web design principles.
• Knowledge of WooCommerce is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with PHP and MySQL.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with API integrations.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a WordPress Web Developer or similar role.
